As your Sheriff, I am charged with the responsibility of protecting and serving the citizens of Orange County. What does that really mean? I believe it means People Helping People! We are in the business of enforcing the laws of the state of Texas and the United States, justly, fairly and impartially. Prevention and crime deterrence is our primary goal. Failure of a person to respect and adhere to federal and state laws will result in their apprehension and detention. As your Sheriff, and upon entering the twenty-first century, I know justice in our society must be obtained. I am also aware that the citizens of Orange County have a keen interest in public safety issues. The Orange County Sheriff's Office is being asked to be more responsive to the needs of our communities. We pledge to work effectively with all Local, State, and Federal law enforcement in developing solutions to our problems within the county . It takes a true partnership in fighting the WAR ON CRIME; and I need your help! The Orange County Sheriff's Office will strive to be the premier law enforcement agency in Orange County.
